In fact, there are three key things that make up our overall health — faith, physical health and overall wellness in your life. Let’s see how we can tap into each of these to bring about your healthiest you yet.
Faith. Let’s look at faith from two angles. First, many of us believe in a higher power and we lean into that power to help us walk successfully through life. That kind of faith can pick us up when we’re down and keep us moving through life when all we want to do is stop.
But there’s a second kind of faith that’s important, too —faith in yourself. If you don’t believe that something can happen, what chance do you think you have at achieving it? Physical health. Our bodies are so important to us, but we often neglect them. Choosing not to move the way we should, opting for unhealthy foods and not drinking enough water are daily choices we make that affect our physical health. We need to do all three of those things to stay healthy. You partner with a physician to monitor your body’s internal workings. Partner with a physical trainer to help your body optimally function, as well.
Overall wellness. Your wellness encompasses all that you are. Your mental fitness, the foods you eat, your physical feelings, social interactions, your environment, your occupation and your spirituality – it’s all of you wrapped up together. And when one area is out of balance, it can leave you feeling uncentered.
